Symposia

Prior to submitting your proposal for a symposium you must register. Please register with your email address and a randomly chosen password which you should remember. With your email address and this password you can login until the deadline for symposium proposals in order to review, complement or change your submission. This registration is not linked to a membership in the German Neuroscience Society, being a member of the GNS is not a prerequisite for submitting a proposal.

Symposium proposers should consider the following:

  • Organizers who organized a symposium in 2015 already are not entitled to submit a proposal for 2017
  • The title of the symposium should be succinct and not exceed 100 characters including spaces
  • A short description of the planned symposium in English, which should not exceed 5.000 characters including spaces, is required
  • The members of the program committee may speak in a symposium but are not entitled to propose a symposium as sole organizers
  • The time allocated to each symposium is 2 hours
  • The maximum number of speakers per symposium is four. The complete address and the (tentative) title of each speaker must be typed into the form.
  • In addition to these four talks each symposium must include two short communications from students to be selected by the organizer(s) from the abstract submitted in fall 2016
  • The symposia are self-supporting, the German Neuroscience Society cannot guarantee financial support. In addition, the symposium speakers and organizers will have to pay registration fee.
